Dr. Smith & Dr. Czaplewski envision a future where AZSPI is operating in several locations across Arizona, including the Greater Phoenix Area, Flagstaff, Yuma, and Tucson—providing their services across the state in an effort to improve the lives of hundreds of Arizonan families.
Dr. Smith is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and Diplomate in School Neuropsychology in Arizona who specializes in evaluating and treating children, adolescents, and young adults with neuropsychological disorders in the school setting.
Dr. Smith has experience with those that have processing deficits, attention-deficit disorder (ADHD), learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), seizure disorders, head injuries, fetal alcohol syndrome disorder (FASD) anxiety, depression, foster children and twice-exceptional (2e) learners in the gifted range.
Hs is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate, CASA of Arizona volunteering to promote and support the best interests of abused and neglected children in the dependency court system and foster care system.
He has worked with a variety of individuals, from school aged children to the adult
population with a vast range of concerns performing school neuropsychological
evaluations, psychoeducational evaluations, and gifted assessments.
With evidence
based evaluations, this allows Dr. Smith to assess a person’s strengths and weaknesses leading to individualized interventions and treatment plans.
Dr. Smith welcomes the opportunity to discuss specific areas of concern with you and
for your child within the family construct to provide evaluation assessments, goal
planning, and any other further referrals if needed.
Common concerns provided by a consultative role include improving coping and problem solving skills, reducing anxiety, managing impulse control disorders, social skills, and independent skills.

With experience in public and charter schools, clinics, virtual therapy, and home health, I have worked extensively in school leadership roles—training professionals and supporting K-12 students with diverse needs.
My specialties include conducting Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs), supporting clients/students with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), enhancing executive functioning and communication skills, and providing therapy for feeding challenges and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). I am proficient in programming and training TouchChat, NovaChat, Proloquo2Go, and Tobii Snap.

Jeanette is a passionate and dedicated occupational therapist who believes in the power of a whole-body, holistic approach to therapy. With a deep commitment to empowering her clients through autonomy and play-based strategies, she works to help individuals of all ages live their best, most functional lives.
Jeanette’s academic journey began at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology in 2015. Her fascination with human movement and the mechanics of the body led her to pursue a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Chicago State University, where she graduated in 2021.
Throughout her career, Jeanette has maintained a child-led focus, working closely with young patients to build trust and create therapy plans tailored to their specific needs and interests. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, which she applies through the lens of play and movement, ensuring therapy feels like an engaging and fun experience. Whether she’s working on motor skills, sensory integration, or helping children improve their daily function, Jeanette emphasizes the importance of using the full scope of occupational therapy to foster growth, confidence, and independence.
Outside of her professional work, Jeanette is an avid lover of sports, especially basketball where she actively participated in Special Olympics, and enjoys traveling to new destinations to explore different cultures. Her love for scary movies is a fun part of her downtime, and she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, family, and her beloved dog. With a compassionate heart and a strong dedication to her craft, Jeanette is committed to improving lives one patient at a time and continues to be an advocate for inclusive and holistic occupational therapy.

Tiffany graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Special Education Adapted Curriculum from East Carolina University in May 2022. She then taught in a North Carolina Public School as an Intellectual Disabilities Moderate teacher.
Tiffany’s focus while teaching was on increasing student communication and functional life skills to support student independence. Tiffany has experience working with students with Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/
